Once Upon a Pony & Once Upon a Farm

Once upon a time in a magical kingdom not so far away, lived a pony prince named Prince Remington. The kingdom was in a peaceful land surrounded by trees that spilled out of the rolling hills. Those who journeyed to the kingdom were swept away by the scent of fresh air, the sight of a picturesque landscape, and the sound of children's laughter. Remington's dapple bay coat shimmered and his tail glistened in the rays of the sun as he waltzed across his paddock. His kind, dark eyes were filled with wisdom. The strength of his character and the willingness of his heart made him loved by all who knew him. Visitors to the kingdom were greeted with a nicker by the charming steed The children that owned the pony prince loved him so much that he was not merely to be kept, but to be shared with other children that dreamed of such a horse.

Once Upon a Pony can make your child's dreams come true through Pony Pals Horsemanship Classes, private riding lessons, memory making leadline pony rides, or fun-filled Pony Parties. Prince Remington is that certain kind of pony that can be trusted with a bunch of giggling little girls, with a rider's first trot, or with a special secret. He adapts well to children's needs and seems to sense when a child needs a friend. He can be ridden by a first time rider even if they are a little bit afraid. When a child is having a bad day, Remington is always happy to see them and that makes a bad day better. He enjoys being lavished with attention by many adoring children. When a little girl rides Remington, she feels like a princess. When a little boy rides the him, he can pretend that his is a cowboy riding off into the sunset.

The Kingdom

Prince Remington's kingdom is located just 5 minutes from downtown Silverton at Heritage Hill Farm. The serene eleven and a half acre property is tranquilly nestled in the foothills of the Cascades and is filled with natural beauty.

The facility offers quality, full-service boarding care for Remington and other amazing horses a new eight stall barn with attached indoor arena and the original six stall barn. The horses will enjoy spacious and airy 12 x 12 stalls with attached paddocks, a heated wash rack when Remington needs a bath after a day at play in his paddock. Riding arenas include an outdoor arena adjacent to the original barn and a 60' x 132' indoor arena attached to the new barn. When done for the day, Remington quietly and cheerfully grazes in the pasture. The facility is in the heart of Silverton yet feels like it is in the rural countryside.
